Sacred Valley Hotels
The Sacred Valley of the Incas offers stunning scenery and is a peaceful hideaway close to Cusco. In Inca times as now the valley was an important communication route between Cusco and sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo and the jungle beyond. The fertile valley still produces a wide variety of crops and life in the small communities here has changed little over the years.
With its lower altitude and warmer climate it is a popular destination for those with a few days available to explore the surrounding Inca sites and countryside. Many people also stay just one night en route to Machu Picchu. |
